A person who suffers from arthritis can get rid of it if he uses specific ingredients in his daily diet. You can also ease you painful symptoms by eating plenty of foods and ingredients that naturally reduce inflammation, such as these.
Green Tea
In recent years the subject of green tea was spoken of as a health buzz. In those discussion sessions every living soul has good reasons to prove its worth. Green tea contains a natural antioxidant called epigallocatechin-3-gallate. This antioxidant works to cease the production of inflammatory chemicals in our body.
Omega-3 Fats
The 2nd good food ingredient that actually helps in reducing the inflammatory factor in body is Omega-3. It actually works in suppressing the production of enzymes that erode cartilage. Salmon (wild, fresh or canned), herring, mackerel (not king), sardines, anchovies, rainbow trout, Pacific oysters, flaxseeds (ground and oil), chia seeds, and walnuts are the best food items that contain Omega-3.
Olive Oil
Olive oil contains a natural compound called oleocanthal which may help prevent arthritis-related swelling. This compound blocks the same inflammatory pathways as ibuprofen and aspirin, medications commonly used to fight arthritis pain.
Carotenes
Making use of carotenes cuts down the risk of developing inflammation-related disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers have found that people who ate diets high in beta-cryptoxanthin were half as likely to develop a form of inflammatory arthritis as those who ate very few; in fact, adding just one additional serving each day of a food high in beta-cryptoxanthin helped reduce the risk. Some of the most effective foods for beta cryptoxanthin include winter squash, pumpkin, persimmons, papaya, tangerines, red peppers, corn, oranges and apricots.
Vitamin C
Research suggests that people who eat a diet low in vitamin C may have a greater risk of developing some kinds of arthritis. Keeping these reasons in mind it is very important to make vitamin-C rich foods such as guava, bell peppers (yellow, red, orange, and green), oranges, grapefruits, strawberries, pineapple, broccoli, kidney beans, kiwi, and cauliflower.
Anthocyanins
It is beneficial because the compounds it contain contributes to the health of connective tissue, and are even more powerful than vitamin C for defusing dangerous free radicals that can irritate body tissues and cause inflammation. Some of the best foods for anthocyanins include cherries, blackberries, black currents, blueberries, eggplant, elderberries, raspberries, boysenberries, red and black grapes, strawberries, and plums.
Spices: Ginger and Turmeric
Spices we use in every food are also beneficial for arthritis patients. Among the most promising are turmeric — the Asian mustard–yellow spice found in curry — and ginger. Because ginger contains chemicals that work similarly to some anti–inflammatory medications, the benefits of ginger for arthritis pain are not surprising.
I was active 14 years old girl in 1979. Playing soccer, hockey and tennis was my passion. Sometime I also love to swim with my friends. During my diving practice I hurt my shoulder. Everyone was sure this accident just damage the tendon not more than that. One of my family friends pulled my shoulder back.
After two years we shifted to Florida. Due to environmental change or it can be any other reason, I felt having difficulty with stiffness in morning. Constant aches, pain in joints, most in hands elbow and feet’s becomes the part of my every morning. It was terrible to make moves while playing tennis. Just because of that all of my friends called me “Granny”. Doctor treated me with aspirin but my Mom was not satisfied from it. She always said that “I know there is something more than that”. She was so persistent in my case.
When I was turning 17 we planned a trip to Midwest with our family. I was about to register at university of Missouri. My family already took an appointment from rheumatologist to diagnose me.
I was in clinic waiting for my aunt to pick me up from there. The doctor came to me with a bunch of papers in his hand. The doctor suddenly said you definitely had Rheumatoid Arthritis. He drew me a lifeline on a sheet of paper. He was so serious. He advised me to stay on wheel chair for a long time otherwise it takes me near to disable person. I have nothing to say at that time. I was just like a basket case when he left me with diagnose and my lifeline.
While going back to Florida my dad way trying to makes me happy all the way. When we came back my mom started exploring phone book. She found a rheumatologist in Tampa who was associated with USF at that time. Her selection was perfect that was the day when we found a person who makes my life easier than anything. He visited our home and analyzes me first time. After the analysis he looks into my parents eyes and said What if I spend my life on wheelchair. My parents have nothing to say. He gave us a hope with his words that medical science is coming out with new things. If we control the symptoms then we have won our part.
I don’t want to look back. With the passage of time things get changed. I still have those moments and I miss the ways things used to be. Now I am working as Arthritis relief consultant and spend a lot of time in helping peoples. So my life goes on and on.
